About Us 

Tianjin Huatai Senmiao Bioengineering & Technology Incorporated Co. Ltd (HTSM) was established on December 17, 2002 in Tianjin Huayuan Industrial Zone,Tianjin, China. Our company has  2 million U.S. dollars paid up capital.


HTSM is the first enterprise in China to export High Pressure Processing (HPP) machines to the international market. Since 2013,  we have been the main HPP vessel supplier for the Japanese pioneer in HPP food processing, Echigo Seika Co Ltd. HTSM has vastly evolved in the speed of light into Asia’s leader in HPP technology and equipment, taking pride in our HPP technology which is protected with Independent Intellectual Property Rights

In addition to the standard indirect pressurization structure of intensifier and vessel, we invented our own all-in-one direct pressurization HPP equipment which greatly enhances productivity and cost-efficiency. The energy recovery device incorporated helps to save more than 80% energy. Our exclusive technology was already granted with 22 national patents and recommended by Tianjin Intellectual Property as one of their  50 key projects.

In the past few years, we achieved major success with our research and development, accomplishing a number of domestic and international cooperation projects.

WHAT'S HPP?

HPP (High Pressure Processing) is a cold pasteurization in which products are put into a vessel and subjected to a high level of isostatic pressure (300–600MPa/43,500-87,000psi) transmitted by fluid.

HPP, the USDA approved all-natural process utilizes intense water pressure to protect against harmful bacteria without affecting the taste, texture, appearance, nutritional of foods. 

By mid-2010s, more than 30% of meat, poultry , fruit and vegetable are processed by HPP.  HPP-processed food is widely sold by supermarkets, direct stores and online retailers. 
North America is the largest supplier of HPP-processed food with a market share of 50% followed by Europe with more than 25% market share.

High pressure physics saw major breakthrough in the last 15 years. The development of intense new x-ray and neutron sources, improved detectors, new instrumentation, greatly increased computation power, and advanced computational algorithms enabled researchers to determine the behavior of matter at static pressures in excess of 400GPa. Induce food mutations by High pressure

HPP changes the synthesis of DNA, RNA and proteins and induces mutagenesis in microorganisms as an extreme thermo-physical factor.

Studies suggest that high pressure is a promising physical mutagen in rice breeding. Exposure to 25-100MPa HPP for 12 hours could retard the germination and affect the viability of rice (Oryza sativa L.) seeds, increase the tolerance of rice plants to cold stress and alter gene expression patterns in germinating rice seeds. Exposure to 25, 50, 75 or 100MPa for 12 hours HPP could efficiently induce variation in rice plants as well.
